Jeremy Guarnoni (MRS Kawasaki) slotted in 14th in race one, one position ahead of Alessandro Andreozzi (Kawasaki Team Pedercini) and two up on his countryman Fabien Foret (Kawasaki Mahi Racing Team India).
Fabien was in 16th and then 15th while Sheridan Morais (Iron Brain Kawasaki SBK Team) was 17th and then a non-finisher. In race two Guarnoni was 16th and Andreozzi 17th, each just out of the points. Foret is fifth in the Evo standings, Morais ranked sixth, although each has ten points apiece. Guarnoni is seventh in a class full of strong Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R entries.
Michel Fabrizio (Iron Brain Kawasaki SBK Team) had no luck this weekend and did not finish either race at his home round, retiring in the pits in each race.
Superstock 1000 FIM Cup
Lorenzo Savadori (Kawasaki Team Pedercini) led the Imola round for the first half of the race but had to retire in the pits when a bolt fell off his gearchange pedal.
The top finishing Kawasaki rider was Frenchman Romain Lanusse (Team Pedercini Kawasaki) and it was a best of season showing for Hungarian Balazs Nemeth, also from the Pedercini Kawasaki team. He was sixth, ahead of David McFadden (MRS Kawasaki) in seventh.
After an unlucky Imola raceday Savadori is now third in the championship, 19 points behind the leader.
